StoredSafe License¶
The StoredSafe license file is a signed digital document that grants permission to use the different products and services. It outlines the terms and conditions for usage, such as duration, number of installations or users, and any restrictions. It is applied within the software to validate usage and ensure compliance.
License files also help protect the creator’s rights and make sure everyone plays fair. Think of it as a friendly agreement and a key to enjoy the benefits of the software or product.
Note
The license file must be in the UNIX text file format, with lines ending only with a linefeed (LF) character. If the license file fails to validate, please check if it was saved in the Windows text file format, which uses both carriage return (CR) and linefeed (LF) as end-of-line indicators.
If you suspect that the license file was saved in the Windows format, you can use an editor to convert it to the UNIX file format. This conversion will ensure that the lines end with the required LF character.
